Undergrad

Victoria (Toria) Fex

Victoria Fex is a third-year undergraduate student studying neuroscience with a minor in bioethics. She plans to pursue a DO/ Ph.D. or a MD/ Ph.D. dual degree in neuroscience to further pursue her passion for research within medicine as a neurosurgeon. Victoria’s research focuses most heavily on dopamine signaling within the brain. Through this research, she has previously discovered a neural circuit underlying taste hallucinations in ‘schizophrenic’ mice and is currently determining how dopamine plays a role in mediated devaluation which will translationally reduce the addictiveness of drugs for drug addicts. In her ample free time outside of the lab, Toria loves to paint, read, travel, and bake (unsuccessfully).
